RALEIGH, N.C., March 5, 2021– CLJ Advisory announced the launch of its Office Elite Access (OEA) subscription service. The service will provide a revolutionary way for managers and team leaders to train new financial advisors using the COI Referral Training course. The course is the first of its kind to help advisors establish relationships with Centers of Influence. OEA will allow leaders of smaller teams (20 or less) to instantly provide online training for their groups and future recruits during a time of increased video interaction.
“We are very excited to offer OEA to managers of the broker-dealer community,” said Chris Jordan, Founder & CEO of CLJ Advisory. “This service is designed to help the new advisor learn the critical skills to grow their COI networks. Oftentimes, advisors struggle to meet new people after they contact their initial sphere of friends and family.” Jordan continued, “Sometimes managers make the mistake of thinking new advisors are not ready to learn how to develop COI partnerships. As a result, many of these advisors never do.”
“It is extremely valuable for new agents and established to help them grow their practices by mastering their language and systems in approaching COI’s such as CPAs and Estate Planning Attorneys.” said Roger Silvera, Million Dollar Roundtable Member of New York Life in Tampa, FL.
The OEA service will also allow managers to enroll their team in the COI Referral Training course, which is a 90-minute self-paced online course. With the OEA service, managers can introduce the perspective of CPAs and attorneys to new advisors early in their career. “It was great to hear the different perspectives of ways to improve the COI relationship. I don’t get to have too many candid conversations with CPAs and attorneys, so this training provided excellent insight as to what they are thinking,” said Henry Frazier III, a financial advisor at New York Life in San Jose, CA. Frazier continued about the training, “It also gave me more strategic ways to grow these relationships. I think every agent can improve in this area and this course is so easy to take in and apply the lessons learned.”
The COI Referral Training teaches new advisors the importance of communicating their value. “The course training showed me how to deepen an existing relationship with an estate attorney. We always talked about referring clients, but I wasn’t conveying the value I could bring to the table. The course helped me do just that and the result was the first in what should be a long line of quality introductions,” said Michael Guthrie, a financial advisor at Northwestern Mutual in Boston.
“The training was very valuable and could really help others in our office,” said Stephan Taylor of New York Life in Pasadena, CA. “Since the training, I’ve used what he taught to cultivate my existing relationships while looking for others.”
Currently, the OEA service is being used at New York Life. “I anticipate this service will be a major value to leaders at the the major insurance broker dealers like Northwestern Mutual and Equitable as well.” Jordan continued, “We wanted to make this program flexible and affordable so managers across the country can empower as many new agents as possible.”
